Person Maria Seletskaya – The conductor What is happening after the ballet career has been finished? Does the life after the Theatre exist and how do the former dancers find themselves for a new life? Today we are presenting the first heroine of our special project where we will tell about the artists who leave the stage to dedicate themselves to other professions. After finishing her dancing career in the Royal Ballet of Flanders, Maria Seletskaya has stood behind the conductor’s stand. In the interview for La Personne she told us about her first appearance to the orchestra, the specifics of conducting a ballet performance, about inner struggles and explained why the ballet people are the strongest and most disciplined. Special thanks to Nicha Rodboon for the photo story created in the halls of the Flemish Opera.
